DECORA is Europe's largest manufacturer of flooring underlays offering solutions in three independent technologies: XPS PUM and PEHD. Thanks to fully integrated production we supply underlays under our own brands (Arbiton Afirmax Ewifoam) as private label products and as industrial components for flooring manufacturers. Our products meet the highest European standards comply with EN 16354 requirements and are available in a wide range of parameters thicknesses and formats. As an industrial partner we ensure not only quality and consistency but also flexibility and speed in implementation.
As a member of the MMFA and EPLF DECORA actively co-creates quality standards in the European flooring industry. All our underlays meet the requirements of the EN 16354 standard and their key properties – such as acoustic insulation thermal resistance compressive strength and dynamic load resistance – are determined according to current guidelines. We have our own advanced laboratory where every formula and every batch undergoes rigorous testing. Additionally to confirm the reliability of our results we regularly verify them in independent external laboratories providing our partners with full transparency and confidence in our technical parameters.

Thanks to technology developed and produced by DECORA Aculay provides the highest level of acoustic insulation and full compatibility with SPC systems. DECORA products hold recognized certificates such as the Blue Angel – confirming safety for health and the indoor environment and the EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) – a detailed environmental report. DECORA is one of only two manufacturers in the world that produce flooring underlays using advanced PUM (polyurethane-mineral) technology. These are top-class products designed for laminate panels wood flooring and vinyl floors wherever maximum performance and durability are crucial. PUM underlays are distinguished by the best acoustic parameters very low thermal resistance – ideal for underfloor heating – and excellent load resistance. This is the solution for customers who do not accept technical compromises and expect the highest standards of performance.
Extruded polystyrene (XPS) underlays are an ideal choice for the DIY segment and for projects where ease of installation and efficiency are important. They are lightweight easy to cut and lay and at the same time provide sufficient protection for the floor against damage and substrate unevenness. Thanks to good acoustic insulation XPS works perfectly under vinyl flooring and as a base material in integrated underlayment systems. High-density polyethylene (PEHD) underlays are a solid mid-range option for the professional market. Supplied in rolls they are convenient to transport and quick to install making them a popular choice for large projects and installation jobs that require a fast pace. They provide good moisture protection and even load distribution and their technical parameters meet the requirements of most standard vinyl and laminate flooring installations. It is a versatile solution that combines a reasonable price with proven quality.
